Off to Paris

You will have to forgive me for the late start to this blog, as it has been a rough start to the trip to Paris. Day one from Columbus started off with having to get to the airport amidst the traffic hurdles of the Columbus Half Marathon and Obama coming to town to kick off his campaign at OSU. What we did not account for was the shut down of the I-70/I-71 interchange downtown. After getting our routes together Dave and Barb (D&B) left on their frequent flyer trip to Atlanta two hours prior to Eric and Katie. After arriving in Atlanta for our two hour layover, Katie and I went to grab something to eat prior to our flight to France. Our thought was: eat now, take sleeping pill and sleep the entire flight with no meal service. Good plan! Shortly after ordering, we received a text from D&B saying, "get over here your plane is boarding". This was a full 90 minutes prior to our departure time! So we grabbed our uneaten food, said our quick goodbyes to D&B and boarded Baguette 1 for Paris. Katie and I became "those people" who board the plane with food and stink-up the cheap seats cabin with their carry-on food. The plane was packed and very tight, and there we sat eating. Almost 45 minutes later we left for Paris... Bon Voyage!
